Nice but Not So Common F-Body wheels..?

I've been looking into wheels now for the new firebird, I haven't decided on what I want to use, I might end up putting on my ARE 205 17x9.5 & 17x11 ( bbs style bmw/viper race wheel ) wheels If i can't find something I like better.

I want something polished, or chrome ( but dont want flakes ) my stock firebird wheels are starting to flake .. eh.. junk.. only 3 years old too.. sad...

Any suggestions?
I have looked through ADR , ENKEI , KONIG... etc... I have seen quite a few wheels I like but the offset/BS is all sticking out too much.
Thanks in advance! post links to pics please with posts!!

flakes? wow. My '97 Trans Am convertible came with 16" chrome wheels and they're in great shape after 140,000 daily-driver miles. Sounds like you just got a bum set.

As for unique, you can go for a european flair fairly easily... just get a BMW 3-series wheel.

All BMW's (except for '85 to '91 318 and 325 models) use a 120mm 5-lug bolt pattern. Coincidentally, our 4.75" bolt pattern works out to 120.6mm bolt patern.

While the BMW wheels are typically a bit narrow (205 to 245), they are usually available in 18" and 19" diameters.

The 5-series and 7-series rims also share the same bolt patern, but the offsets are much smaller, making for wheels that stick out more. Where the 3-series has ~40 to 45mm offsets (tucking them under the fender as much as stock wheels), the 5-series are only about 20 to 25 mm and the bad-boy 7-series is only ~10 to 15mm.

Get a '92+ 3-series BMW wheel and you'll be fine. Only catch is trying to find one that doesn't have Hitler's german-propeller logo on it, and getting one wide enough that you're not giving up any contact patch over stock.

Thanks, I ran across a real nice set of Konig Imagine wheels , they had the 5x120 mm setting and 38mm offset, sounds good right? 18x8.5... even better.
The guy said they woudln't fit my car, so I didn't buy them, they went for super cheap as well, and were really different then other wheels. they are similiar to my ARE wheels but I figured that small amount of a .65 MM would be enough to throw off the fitting that much that they wouldnt fit. the guy said they were specially made for BMW's and they woudln't fit. Then I got into it with him and he said ' legally they won't fit ' and left it at that so I left it alone.. i wish I would not have now since the wheels are sold.

Cool thanks for that bmw info I don't think i would have found that out easily by reading lol..

Are you running rims like this? I'm just curious because I've never heard this before. If you are do you have pics?

Check out the Boyd line of wheels...you can get them for less $$$ than you might imagine, and they're custom built to your offset. I've got some pics of my car with the Boyd Timeless 2s in my sig, but they have a full line you can check out.

I personally like my wheels. I have yet to see them on another F-body in my area. They are the ROH RT's with the black ice finish, 18" of course. Look in my siggy!

Thanks for all the pics guys. I don't want ZR1's because everyone has them. I like the wheels a lot but the Z28 is different from everyone else's cars, and I want the TA to be as well.

What style is the Milan wheel? I have heard/seen it before but I can't put the picture together in my mind. If someone could post a link that would be great.
