I just got Tint put on today on my rear window and was told later on by some friends that the rear defroster will ruin it if i were to use it. does anyone know here if this is true?

Whoops, I did. I thought about it when I did it, and just decided "**** it" and went for it. No problems occured...aside from my paranoia.

you will be able to see any damage in about a week, if any occurs. the titn will seperate from the defroster lines and will look like a bubble. it is a b!tch to remove without destroying defroster

i got to take it back up to the shop tomo anyways to take out some of the small bubbles left over. i just hate how they had to use 2 strips from how big the windows are.

is it just on mine or did everyone else windows take more than 1 strip. i know i sound like an idiot saying that since they're all the same size. but i was wondering if there was a way that he could have done it with one strip.

My '95 had to use 2 strips. Unless I really looked closely i couldn't see the difference.

They make single sheets big enough for our rear glass.
I was told by a tint shop that if someone wants to tint your car with more than one sheet, go somewhere else because he should know enough to use one.

My 96 was done with one piece which I'm glad. My friend had an 89 done a few years ago and they pieced it. It didn't look too bad, but mine looks much better.

I would get my money back. My tint was done with one whole piece. If they need pointers, tell them to go to www.shadeofday.com The owner of the place is also an F-body owner and I'm sure he can give them some hints on how to do the entire rear glass with just one sheet of tint.
