I was thinking putting Chrome Cobra R rims on my Artic white 1994 Z28 but I was going to get a local decal shop to custom cut a black vinyl page with 4 red "Z" in it. I am going to cut eat sheet to place over the Cobra on the rim. Does anyone else think this would look good??

Where are you going to get Cobra wheels to fit an f-body? Mustangs are 4 lug, ours are 5.

I'd say hell no to putting Mustang wheels on an f-body. That's just not right...

Cobra R rims are 5 lug for one and for two, the Cobra R rims are look awesome. The only part I hate is the "Cobra" in the centercap, that is why I would cover them up.

I saw a guy somewhere on this forum that has em on a black car, and he has chrome center caps instead of the cobra. they look sweet too.

I think the rims would look sweet, but I dunno about vinyl stickers on rims. May look kinda corny. I'd say try to find some chrome centercaps like mentioned above

 

Thanks for all the feedbacks so far. But as for a second question, does anyone know where I can get centercaps that cover the Cobra emblem? I wasn't aware they made on so small.

Anyone ever see saleen wheels on an f-body. The dimensions are really nice. 18x11 are soo sweet.

 

White Z 4 Show, check car magazines such as Chevy High Performance, or Super Chevy. Look through the different advertisements carefully and you should find a whole page of reproduction rims. I'm not sure of the companies name, but they make Cobra R's for camaro's and they come with either the Cobra emblem or a chrome center. They also carry Z06, ZR1/SS, Impala SS, and Iroc rims in various sizes. They are pretty cheap too for a set of four. Good luck, I think it would look good. I've seen them on a black Z with gfx, wing, and an SS hood, and it looked SWEET. Go for it!

Can someone give me the dimensions for our rims like a chart from 17 by 9 to 18 by 11? I would love to buy cobra r's as well but am afraid that they wont fit correctly? is it the same bolt pattern, backspacing etc. Can I use regular cobra r's out of a 5.0 mag or do I need a special size adjustment?

 

After further review, I have discovered a problem (maybe). Cobra R is 5 lug 5x4.75 and the Camaro rims are 5 lug 5X4.25. That is two different spacings but if anyone knows anything about rims, would this still fit w/o modifications?

PS-Thanks for the FYI on those magazines..I'm going out at lunch to pick up a magazine and maybe even a Cobra magazine that has rims for sale.

I want those rims also. They are one of three I am considering:

the ZR1's, 2000+ SS Ten Spoke, and those Cobra R replicas. Here is the link. It's that black Z, and it has chrome caps on it. I think the company offers them if you ask.
BTW the fitting size IS 5x4.75. 5x4.25 is for stangs, if I'm not mistaken.

They DO make the Cobra Style rim to fit our bolt pattern, if you can't find the website that has them, I will try and find it and post it later..
