New Plans After Being Hit

This car:

Will be repainted Navy Blue Metallic from the LS1 bodied cars. Usually I'd be too afraid I wouldn't like it as much as the original color, but I decided to make a semi-spontaneous decision and stick with it.

I'm keeping these emblems on the fenders:

as well as the chrome rear fill ins (will get new ones). I'll also be painting the calipers blue (yes you can still see them with the stock wheels, which I will be repainting silver. I also want to freshen up the faded center caps by putting some custom pinstriping around the area that used to have 3 stripes with "Chevrolet" writing. A sort of stretched out circular pinstripe.

I've been prepping the car at my house and will soon be working on it more at school, pics of the progress soon.

What do you think of my plans?

My Z28 got hit in a similar manner. Did insurance total your car (give it a salvage title) since it's a V6 (and therefore worth a little less than a Z28)? The repair on mine came very close to the value of the car, but it still retains a good title.

They've been lagging on it, they say it's very close. I left them a message asking for slightly less money so I can retain the clean title.

I was actually thinking since it's a dark blue car, my rims might look better like this:

Insurance is the biggest fraud itself. I've never known there to be another business in the world in which the companies that operate within that business can get away with making you pay them money for a promise of service, in some cases never having to deliver on it. But that's another story, possibly a candidate for another thread starter...

Anyway, about your car, I personally prefer that the wheels contrast the body color as much as possible. I like appearance highlights that create a cool contrast, i.e. white stripes on a black car, chrome wheels / lettering on a dark car, black stripes on a white car, etc. This way it's a little more eye catching than a car with less contrast. Have you considered getting white rims? Although that may look kinda odd if you have a black interior...this is just some mental diarrhea for you

White wheels look great with a navy blue Camaro.

I had a pic of an LS1 with white wheels like that pulling a trailer made from the front and rear end of a Camaro, but I can't find it right now.

I'm not sold on the wheel idea yet, but I'd go silver again before I'd go white. Plus I really do like my pinstriping idea, but it's just too hard to do, may have to find someone to do it for me if I go that route.
