New pics of Pioneer Avic-N1 install.

All I can say is the new Pioneer Avic-N1 is absolutely amazing. The navigation is unbelievable. It has basically every feature you can imagine from navigation/DVD player/CD/MP3/touchscreen/voice recognition/vehicle dynamics (8 different fully funtional gauges you can view right on the screen), and the ability for addition features such as TV tuner and exterior mounted video cameras. Let me know what ytou think.

very nice, only thing i would do is try and fab up a custom mounting bracket that moves it down a bit, so your AC vents are more usable, I'd imagine it gets pretty hot in your car during hot days.

Well I thought of that exact thing. I also wanted it to be mounted lower infact I was going to mount it in the A/C control vent slot. Would require a little dremeling but it can be done. And I would mount the a/c controls in the radio area..But there would be gaps I would need to fix. SO I just decided to put it in the normal slot for now and it turned out decent so im gonna leave it there for now. Air still flows out just as good actually.
I got the unit from ebay the guy has his own website its www.trityra.com for $1,460 which is about $700 less than what you would pay at your local audio shop. Its probably the best unit out there now and for the price cant be beat. The navigation is incredibly accurate. When I set the navi to bring me home the voice comes on and literally tells me I have reached my destination as my front tires hit the curb in my driveway. Love it.

WOW that's weet man

So does it tell you when to turn and how far to go a little in advance ? I need something like that myself so I don't get lost when I take trips.

That looks awesome man.

i saw that one at my audio shop and it was 1899 + 150 for install. Im thinking about maybe getting it for my car. Does it move from left to right? So that you can tilt it more to the passenger than the driver?

RedhottG2,

Yes the system has voice guidance that will talk you through the entire trip. Once you get closer to your intersection a second screen comes up showing your exact distance in feet from the intersection. If a turn is missed it will also re-route you automaticaly. The screen does not tilt left or right but I have had no problems with not being able to see the screen clearly. It does however tilt up or down. All factory cars with navi are mounted looking straight back anyway. I cant really go over all the features it has here because it is inbelievable how much this thing does, so if you wanna know more go to www.avic-n1.com or www.pioneerelectronics.com
