Well, the red is a nice color. I'm not a big fan of the hood, or the white stripes down the side. It makes me think of a Coca Cola can.

I think you should either have the white on the hood, OR the white stripes on the side, NOT both.. The paint looks very good, though! Nice car overall.

paint

Thanks for all the opinions! So far everyone around here loves it, mostly guys at our shop have seen it. The color is the updated hugger orange. Wheels and tires are next in line, needs that big time!!! Oh, and ibanez6rg, if you go with that yellow, DO NOT use omni brand! We have shot that at our shop and it is very transparent with its color. It will take twice if not three times as much color to cover than a normal paint Thanks again to everyone that replied!

Hey Brad, What's a paint job like that cost.

Let's say I bring my car in with no prep work (In other words with the other color on it)

$3k....$4k.......$5k

Nice paint job, and it looks very similar to the paint job done on the HotRod Camaro (Hockey stripe, etc...)

paint

To My94redZ28A4, well I work in a body shop at a dealership which means we are probably higher than most places on what we charge. But having no prep work would cut that cost down alot. I have about 100 hours in this car from body work to prep work to paint work. We charge 30 or 35 and hour on labor and and not sure on paint, I don't deal with the numbers just do the work!! But anyway thats about 3 grand in labor without the paint. I would say about 3grand would get you an awesome paintjob that will last! We did a 57 chevy in black body work and all for 5500 dollors and that was clocked at 150 hours. So there you go, thanks for the response!

Re: paint

Brad,

I especially like the hood scoop treatment. You have given me several ideas for the cowl hood on my 454SS truck.

The car looks really nice.... good job. Post some pics of your Camaro when it is completed. I would like to see the finished product, with your new wheels.

Thumbs up Cool

Very nice. I love the hood and the way you painted it. I also like the stripes on the side. They are unique and definately set the car apart.
