New paint is almost done

These are of tonight at the shop. What do ya think? After 4 coats of clear, and a set of realistic flames on the black in the hood, it will be ready to come home and go to bed for winter.

That is beyond awesome! Looks great! I really love the orange pinstripe outline for the stripes, that REALLY looks good. Can't wait to see the finished pics!

PS - It's time to update your sig.

I'll drive it, I will just insure it for a bit more. I will post some pics once the realistic flames are done and the clear is all set.

Because I might be getting my car painted soon and I was trying to find out if it was worth my money to get it painted without gutting it, and you just answered my question.

They are doing the door jambs, and doors without pulling them off too. The color change is so subtle, you cant tell under the hood because it is flat painted anyway.

Mine will include the door jams too. I won't be changing the color completely, but I'll be getting a darker shade of red.

By the time the flames are laid on, and you figure in the orange stripe is hand laid as well. Plus all the clear and color sanding the whole car. I should be out the door for around 5,500.00. Maybe more, maybe less.

Thats a hell of alot less then I have in the motor or the rest of the car, thats for sure.
