youre right, i have no clue what engine is in my car, even though i have had it stripped down and done a cam swap and valve springs wiht my own hands, and numerous other mods. but yeah, im ignorant
The fact is, others are right. 99% of the population thinks the car has a 350, which for all practical conversations and such, it is. who wants to be the **** guy all the time that says "well, actually, its not a 350, its a 346 moron. get your life straight geez." i mean come on. i know its not a 350, and so do you, but does it really matter? Why would this badge bother f-body guys so much? maybe its like ***** envy....
anyway, no hard feelings. the 350 badges will remain either way. i might get the white piece done in black decals if i can find them later. as far as changing wheel colors and such, not gonna happen.
As for badges that arent as flashy, never know what the future holds. ive spent enough money on it as of now though.
Re: New CLEARER pics...
After looking at the pics again those 350 badges would look great where the old Z28 bages were stock. Also the rear would look good with the blue chevy badge in the middle and nothing else to take away from the berger panel. Eitherway it's your car and your choice in the end but remember when posting pics on the net you have to be prepared for haters and lovers alike. Just dont take it the wrong way.
Re: New CLEARER pics...
I won't rag you too much on the 350 emblems, I would just pull the blue bowtie off the back and put the Camaro script emblem in it's place. The shaved Berger panel with the old school Z-28 emblem looks reallly good though, I saw another car like that and loved it. I figured the seat covers were just for protection so I won't say anything there. I wish somebody took that step with my Z-28's seats.
Re: New CLEARER pics...
i totally understand that people arent going to like the car when i post it, thats all cool. i have seen a number of cars on this site i wasnt totally hot for. but i dont ever remember calling anyone ignorant, or assuming they were stupid. there is only one statement on this thread i thought was out of taste...
I mean geez man, come on. state your opinion of the car.
damn dude, learn what engine u have beforeu put emblems on it....
Re: New CLEARER pics...
Cars looks good for the most part. The 350 thing has already been discussed but the thing that bothers me the most are the Vette flags. For some reason it bugs me when I see Vette flags on anything other then a Vette.

Well 99_Z, I think you've got another distasteful comment to put on the board now. I guess objective/constructive criticism isn't adopted here.

Since you know so much about "corvette V flags" explain how these got put on from the factory...
Hmm, GM really screwed this one up. They put their "Corvette" flags on a 67 camaro
. Jeepers Wally...Flying V-Flags Batman, is that another set of a flag emblems on a camaro!? What is GM's problem? 2 emblems per side? Rediculous!! No wait! Make that THREE emblems per side!!! Will the emblems ever end?!?
Oh lordy, another ORIGINAL camaro with a variation of the Flags. Hmmmm. But hey, they are "corvette" flags, remember? GM really screwed up alot of classic cars.

Uh oh, can it be? no way, there are CORVETTE flags on this pristinely restored 1967 Chevelle. Gm, boneheads i tell you

The flags came on other Chevrolet vehicles from 65-67 i believe. any car with the V8 anyway. Need i post more proof?

Re: New CLEARER pics...
Most people probably know I'm not a fan of old-school badges....I've said it a few times on here. But actually, I was thinking of putting white 350 badges on my front fenders.....
I dunno, I think you do have too much emblems....to me, the ones I'd get rid of are the crossed flags and the blue bowtie under your taillight. It just looks a little busy, that's all. And I know the old-school Camaros had a bunch of badges everywhere, but those cars can't be compared to 4th gens. 4th gens are smoother and the body runs better, as far as the lines go and all that. All those badges everywhere makes 4th gens look a little rough. That's all. But overall, it's a nice car.

Hahahah, I laughed when I saw that someone said "take the vette flags off...". Not only do they look nothing like corvette flags, he continues to critique classic emblems he knows nothing about.
The only thing I do not like about the car is the Chevy V-Flags near the sail panels. Everything else, as I said in the post with less clear pics, it is awesome.
You did nearly everything that I imagined I would do to my car if it was a Z except for a few things:
-the rear fill in with the Z/28 emblems would have been painted in my version, except now I think it may look better the way you did it.
-I didn't think of the 350 badges
-I would have put the V-flags somewhere else. I did in fact put them on my current V6 and did consider that very spot that you have them in, but Ihave the V-flags next to my camaro emblems on my car, but I now want to take them off and leave the Camaro badges.
-I had a few other quite crazy ideas involving grafting on or modifying the rear end to look more like a 68 or 70+ including crome bumper guards, but all that was dismissed =P.
Fantastic job.
