I had it plain for awhile and got bored with it. I wanted to do something different, so I went with the flames.

yeah no kidding, where did you get all your covers? they one offs? if so very bad ***. Would like something similar

I built everything but the lid. It is all hand bent out of aluminum.

The engine cover is from a Holden in Australia. Some say that I will have a bad effect with heat, but there is no noticable difference in coolant temp or performance with it on or off. Heck, if they come from the factory with it on in Australia, do you really think GM saw it as a heat concern?

 

You can use the Holden cover, Lumina SS cover, or Caprice SS cover.

 

Where did you get the cap? Will it fit LT1s?
BTW I like it with the Z28 emblem on it.

 

cap came from ebay. search ls1 oil cap. I don't knwo about lt1's.

 

Is the emblem a flat sticker or a plastic piece that sticks on? And, are those set screws around the outer edge?

 

yes, they do make an oil cap for the LT1's. I have one on mine. Just becareful not to check your oil after you drove the car, my cap gets hot as he11!
