Neon Lighting Question EDIT: Body Kit?'s

First off, I just wanna make sure I'm in the right forum for this (should I be in electronics instead?). But anyway I wanted your guys' opinion on neon lighting. My first question is whether neons even belong on Camaros? Are they too ricey or tuner-ish for Camaros? Second of all, I have a black 96 Z and was wondering if anyone here either has or has seen a similar car with blue neons under it and how it looked. I know that the final choice will be mine, but I'd really like some input from you guys. TIA.

Re: Neon Lighting Question

Have ground effects and/or your car lowered? If so yes. I like undercar kits, but not when they are hanging out in the open.

If not, then wait.

Re: Neon Lighting Question

Well I'm not sure if this is gonna lower my car by much, but in the near future I may be headed down to 15" rims with pretty much standard tires. (Down from stock 16"s now). As you all can probably tell, I'm new to the whole technical aspect of lcars. I just want everyone to know I'm not even 16 yet, just so everyone doesnt think im some ignorant guy who just asks stupid questions haha.

Re: Neon Lighting Question

i have to agree with the other guy, under car neons CAN look good, but seein em hangin out in the open looks horrid. ive seen a taurus with some on it and no gdfx or anything.. looked like crap, but i also saw a black T/A with blue like you're talking about doing and it was nice because the stock skirts hid the neons well enough that you could only see the underglow, it was very nice. wish i had a pic of it for ya =/

Re: Neon Lighting Question

I have a '97 RS w/ a LT1 and it has the stock body kit, in white. All my audio and trim is black and red so I threw red LEDs on it and all my friends are like...ehh...until they acutally see it...it looks redicously awesome w/ the body kit...and it's just another way for our cars to be better than well..."those kids" damn ricers...hope that helps!

ps. I would look into a body kit if you don't have one...it really helps lower the apperance of the car AND it lowers the installation point of the neon/LEDs!

Re: Neon Lighting Question

I think I kinda have a problem with the body kit approach. If I were to actualy buy a "kit", my exhaust pipes would not fit correctly into the space provided under the rear bumper. For all you guys with the Flowmaster American Thunder cat-back exhaust systems, you know what I'm talking about. My mechanic says its a PITA to move the exhaust pipes to their original location. I never got a second opinion though. Do any of you guys know where I can buy just side skirts/front fascias? TIA again guys.

Re: Neon Lighting Question

I have a black '01 with a blur neon kit. I dont have a body kit, but the car is lowered. If interested, send me an e-mail and I will try and send a couple pictures.
