Above is one of GM's show cars. The material the used in the custom openings in the bumper... the honeycomb material. As far as I can tell, it's the same material used in the ram-air hood and the fender inserts. Does anyone know where I can get a good chunk of this stuff?

That or something similar to this would help a great deal.

If so - Lowe's. $1.89 for a 36"L x ~10"W piece of it. Just look for gutter guard. Or, ~$6 for a 4'x4' square of it, but it's a little lesser grade.

That stuff doesn't look too bad. Now, if only there was a Lowes near me (closest one is omaha). But, maybe Menards or Home Depot would have something similar.

Thanks for the great idea!.

Home Depot should have it as well. Any hardware store just about should. Wal-Mart may even have it in the Lawn and Garden section. Like I said, it's just gutter guards.

home depot

home depot has it for sure. I think if it wasn't for people using the gutter guard for their cars that the company would go out of business. And the 4x4 sheets are real cheap and flimsy.

Well If price is not an issue, there is supposed to some higher grade material than that gutterguard from home depot.

I found this on Eastwood. It looks good and comes in different colors.
