Need some lighting assistance

I own a 97 bird and looking to go the HID route with both headlights and fogs. Ive converted the stock headlights to H4 lamps and went with some really nice freeform housings (reflector does all the work and the glass is just meant to seal everything up). I'm looking to now convert it to HID's. I've seen H4 kits but obviously the issue is in the high and low beam in one lamp. If I lose the high beam capability its not a big deal but what are my options in converting? Also, what are some good kits that will work with what I'm trying to do? Thanks

I'm thinking along the same lines. I'll probably buy some Hella H4 housings from rallylights.com and then get a dual beam HID kit. Look at this, it explains the science but I didn't find where to buy the bi-xenon kit, so that's the second link:

http://www.xenonpros.com/philips6000k.html

Apparently (and they reference the H4 kit as an example), there's a capsule surrounding the bulb which changes the way light is projected between two settings, creating a "high" and "low" beam pattern. Expensive as hell, but probably worth it. And that particular site supplies necessary wires to bypass factory wiring so you don't fry it all to hell.

I saw those websites with the bi-xenon type deal but as far as it working properly and fitting is still in question. There isnt much clearance behind the headlamp housings so I certainly dont want to get it all wired up and go to lower the headlights and bam...break some stuff. I may just give one of these guys a call and see what they have to say. BTW, I got my H4 conversion with Hella freeform housings from rally lights and I am very pleased with the results thus far. I'm obviously looking to take it to the next step. One last thing, it was my impression that HID require less wattage and amps to run compared to hi wattage halogen lamps?

You're probably right, I guess it just intuitively is harder to agree with because they're so bright! Whatever wiring they give me, I'm using
