A guy backed up onto my hood with his truck so I need a new one. Got a good amount of money from the insurance company. I was thinking about putting an SS style aftermarket hood on. Is that safe to do. Do they usually fit well. I mean, Id rather get a bad *** looking hood for less money than a stock hood from GM. What does everybody think. Thanks.

 

i'd say go with the ss hood. i got mine from fiberglassfabricatorsinc.com and its great. much cheaper price than other places too but still good quality. go here for pics:

SS hood if insurance is paying for it go for one of the better brand names. I think american sports car design has nice stuff from what i have heard.

 

I just got the American Sports Design hood and I love it. My painter had to barely shave it to fit perfect. I would definitly recomend that hood because of how perfect it fit on my car!
