My ss hood comes in tomorrow!

I am excited. I accidently bought it off of ebay haha. I bid 450 not expecting to win it but I did. It is an oem hood. I just hope the truck did not break it :/ That has happened before

That's not too bad of a price on a oem hood, is it in pretty good shape?

Perfect shape. It is silver with black on the hood scoop so I will have to have it painted. I was shocked I got it for that cheap.

I know it. I have had so many cars, it is unreal and unbelievable lol. I have had so many f-bodies. I sold all those. Right now I have a 79 z28, and found this 2000 camaro for 1900. I only got that car because I got a steal on it. This is the absolute first f-body that I have owned that has not been a ss or trans am. I am going to be getting a new z28 when they come out. CROSSING my fingers they do! But as of right now that is what I have. I wished I wouldn't of sold my 67, however I only buy a good deal, turn around after a year or so and sell them and make money!

The tips of the hood were broken. GRRR. The shipping company blamed the packing, and the guy I bought the hood from blames the sihpping. I can get it fixed it will just cost me

Did you buy insurance when you had it shipped?

I'd claim it was damaged to whoever shipped the hood and see if you can collect on the insurance.

Is it to late since I brought the hood home? I probably should have refused it.

I have no idea. Call them up. Was the box smashed? If the box was smashed, they obviously damaged it.

The box was not damaged but it had fiberglass powder all over it from where it rubbed the ends off.

Yeah it's going to be interesting, was it just in a box with no insulation or any type of protection?
