Every now and then, I see a thread come up asking for pics of a red car with black rims ... so I thought Id snap a couple of mine and get one or two of my smoothlocks as well. These are the collectors editions rims on the yellow 2002s. Funny thing I have discovered about these, people seem to love them or hate them, no in between.

how much did you pay for the anniversary wheels? I was thinking of getting them but heard their outrageous.

 

I AM DEFINITELY A LOVER! Man that looks great. I absolutely love those wheels on a red T/A (and yours is the only one I have seen).

I saw a red Z28 around here with black/polished salad shooters and thought it looked "good", but those are just excellent. Thanks for the pics.

 

I love them too!! I'm painted my ZR1's to look like the 'Vette's Grand Sport wheels.

 

I'm usually not a fan of black wheels, but those look fantastic on your red car!!

The anniversary wheels are a little over $500 a piece, but I got a sweet deal from a cool guy who traded in his bird for a vette.

 

your car looks great! i thought about getting black wheels for mine, but i was worried it wouldn't look as good. like svt03 said, paint your rear valence black to add some more black to your car. i would also suggest getting black ram air decals for your hood, black rear pontiac inserts, and maybe removing the decal from your taillight panel to give it a cleaner look. those are just things i'd do to the car and will be real cheap to do.

there was a red t/a that posted pics a while back that painted the rear valence and also the mirrors and top half of his car black (like on camaros). i think that would look awesome if you wanted to do that.

 

I get nothing but compliments on mine now that i had them powdercoated black with a polished lip, on a black car
