My new 2001 SS SLP
My new 2001 SS SLP
Well aparently im going to get criticized for the way my car looks .. but i just waxed it this morning, tell me what you guys think.. Yes its new.. not a lot of "mods" or a lot of exterior stuff, which I don't really plan to do much besides the black decal where the scoop of the hood is.
I'm a fan of stock exteriors.

=) $20,000 for a dealer, only $400 a month.. not bad at all. only 18k miles.

Looks good to me. Why do you think you're going to get criticized?
You certainly could have found a better deal on a similar car by not buying from a dealer... I paid $14k for my '02 last year, and that was a little on the high side.
Did you specifically look for a car without t-tops?

Around here cars like his, mine and yours are referred to as 'stock blah cars'.
Re: My new 2001 SS SLP
did you run your vin to find out if its a real ss, cause correct me if im wrong, shouldnt you have the ram air box on the top and wouldnt you have 10 spoke ss rims if it were a 01?

Yes i did, it is a real SS. SLP replaced all of that. Those are SLP SS rims, and a custom airbox installed by the previous owner.
Re: My new 2001 SS SLP
Love them SS's. Suggestion: Black Manta stripe with a continuing stripe over the rear deck and spoiler. Black Berger panel. Black brake calipers, SLP SS grill with white SS emblems.
Re: My new 2001 SS SLP
You could be talking about the '96 and '97 Camaro SS cars with the ram air box on top of the intake. '98 - '02 camaros featured the lower profiled airboxes up front, and with the optional lid offered by slp, removed the baffle box that flanked the lid. Regardless of your options, check the driver's door sticker, and look for the code "WU8", bc any legit Camaro SS must have that code. If the car was ordered with extra SLP content, then you would have a sticker on the passenger side door with the list of the items added.
I think your car is immaculate! IMO, nothing will beat a totally immaculate original that has everything in mint order, especially the paint. I would tell you to go to work in making the car absolutely clean with the best paint care systems that are available to you (the car is already remarkably clean, however), and go to town!
Good luck, and pick your add-ons (if any) wisely!

There's a few things I'd do to an LS1 but that's just me... no gaudy body kits, no huge wings, etc etc.
And I love the fact that its a hardtop. IMO it would look cleaner without the pinstripe, but if you like it thats all that matters
