Never under stood why guys did this? Looks cool, but the lt1 front ends llok mean. The ls1 front ends always looked like chryslers to me. Why make your car something its not?

Personaly I like the LS1 front end 100 x better than the LT1 but thats just my opinion.

Dont get me wrong, every now and then I will see a sexy *** SS rolling around that makes me wish I put my money into a ls1. But most look way to much like Sebrings.

I see what your saying and I feel the same way you do, but I only payed $150 for the whole frontend and wing and my car had 10yr old paint on it so why not.

I guess i'm kinda picky, but imo you putting that ls1 front end on your car makes people who see it think you have a LS1.

Ricers put type r badges on thier cars to make people think they have a Type R, so what's the different. I am however, not againt putting SS stuff on a Z28.
Atleast it isn't a aftermarket part. SS's and Z28's have the same motor anyway. What's the diff a lid and catback?

True, but what dose it matter people would have bought the ls1 styled camaro even if it came with an lt1 with 15 more hp just to have the newer frront end.

I don't know, if you want a LS1 get a LS1. I guess I just like the idea of knowing what someone has under the hood of thier car based on the apperance.

LS1's are so cheap now it'd cost just as much if not less to sell your car and buy a LS1.

Re: My lt1 to ls1 SS frontend swap

Where the heck did you find a whole front end for 150 bucks?? Do they have
anymore? I have a 1993 Camaro Z28, and was hit last weekend while parked.
I have always liked the backend styling of the Camaro, but never liked the
front end. When the 98 came out, they finally got it right (though I wouldve
gone with single headlights like a 70 1/2). In my opinion the early front was
too pointy and wimpy, those inset headlights are only good for catching bugs
and wasting MPG. The 98+ is much more muscular and balanced to the rear.
Now that it looks like the below picture, I feel now is the time to swap over,
the passenger side fender is still damaged from the LAST SUV that hit it while
it was parked! :
