Yes HIDs are the shiznet. Don't let anyone tell you those cheap blue halogens are as good.

I got the 5 way adjustable on mine

How much further down the road would you say you can see with the HID's over the stock lights?

Also, is the periferal view lit up better as well?

It's not so much down the road..it's that everything is brighter and peripheral is more. Tell you the truth to me it's not worth 300 bux. If I did pay that I would have been disappointed...thats my opinion. I think it's worth 150 tops. It's only lights for petes sake...but these vendors want to milk the demand. Give it another year and they will be way down for a 4200k. BTW I have 6500k.

The reason there not that great is because your using the HID capsules in a fixture that isnt designed for HID light output. I made that mistake my first try also then realized the best headlamp available are HID projectors. Also, the brightest output setup is the Philips 4300K D2S bulb. If you bought a bulb other than that you most likely have a cheap rebased asain bulb. They will likely change color and burn out quicker than a halogen bulb I am currently running a Audi HID projector setup. The light output is unreal. It took a lot of work to custom mount and make the setup work perfectly, but I did it and I am VERY happy. Other than that your lights look good. the best part is when you first turn them on. GOtta love the warmup period:-)

I'm going to be forced eventually to do real HIDs and projector beams...probably in the next year or so when prices (hopefully) drop a bit.

In the meantime, I'm trying to see everything that I need to do. I know I'd have to cut into the stock housing area a bit, which I'm somewhat reluctant to do.

As long as I have the projector beam cut-offs...it will be well worth it though.

Hey JTS95TA, do you have anything covering your Audi projectors or are they open to the elements?
