My berger panel

I recently repainted my red camaros Berger panel to flat black. I'm 16 and thi is the 2nd thing I've repainted on it( the grill area and healight buckets was 1st)
Anyways, I was thinking about just painting the camaro lettering instead of getting the inserts. I was thinking of doing it with a silver with metal flakes, does anyone think this would look good?

ehhh you might want to try and photoshop or see if other people have done it. I say that only cause if you get tired of the silver, you'd have to repaint it, and with the inserts, its just a matter of peeling it off. Looking forward to seeing the finished product. keep us posted man!

Personally I would do the inserts. It would be a royal PITA to sand those letters out if it didn't turn out like you wanted.

And as far as going for the silver flake why not just get some silver vinyl reflective letters, (not chrome- there is a difference) and see how it looks? The idea will be close to the same and if it looks good you can go from there...I think the $20 for the letters will be well worth the trial.

i have the authentic letter fill ins and they look great well worth the $50, and besides that they do come off if you need.
they would look great on a flat black panel.... also you can get them in SOOOOO MANY colors and combinations. look on ebay.
good luck!

Well the cheap letters are only $10 shipped...Take your panel back off and paint the center of the panel the silver flake*- (which I assume you are going to use rattle can since you stated you didn't have a bunch of money...which I honestly would stay away from..just do a nice silver)...put the letters on there and then paint the flat black again- pull off your letters and you have the painted silver letters.

ohh yeah you could get those $10 fill ins.. they look ok for the short time but they are stickers rather than the stainless stel letters that the real gm ones have. but yeah if i was you i would go with those cheaper letters just becuase it is sooooo hard to fill in that area with paint. but it is your call. just take a look on ebay at the cheaper fillins. good luck!
