That looks awesome! I've always wanted a targa top instead of t-tops, it just so much more sicker looking. By any chance, how much did all that cost, if you don't mind me asking.

 

The targa top looks killer!!! But please paint the hood...I can't stand all these ricers putting hoods on their cars and not painting them, even if they are carbon fiber...it still looks like crap, IMO.

 

Again, that looks very awesome. I would love to do that to my car, but I don't have the ***** to cut my car like that.

 

You can go to a hobby store and buy plastic model window tint and tint the headlights that way. I tinted the turn signals and reverse lights on my girlfriends eclipse that way.

Mitch- I'll post a how-to page on the lights in a few weeks.

Nick- The entire deal cost me about a grand in material and about 100 hours of labor start to finish.

SilverZ- So you think it's ricey? ummmm OK
The headlights are not spraypainted... BTW. That just makes them look black.

Johnny- The frame is beefed with boxed BMR subframes plus a few strategic angle steel braces, nothing too fancy.

Paul- How about we trade interiors?

 

Im sorry my friend but Whistler's Car is FAR from ricey.... IMO that hood looks awsome Whistler did not just put that hood on his car and not paint it he MADE it! besides isnt carbon fiber quite hard to paint because one must apply excessive coats of clear coat to get rid of the texture?

PS isnt it funny how anything custom is ricey anymore?

I never said it looked ricey...I only said that the hood looks like crap not painted...and ricers are usually the ones you see running around with hoods that are unpainted. You could show me a pic of a Ferrari with an unpainted carbon fiber hood and I would tell you it looked like crap too...IMO, if you're going to have a hood, paint it.

Oh...and about the headlights, the guy asked how you did that, I just gave him a suggestion.

Paint the hood and you'd have one sweet *** car...JMO

Like I said above...I did not call his car rice, I only made the connection that mainly ricers put unpainted hoods on their cars. And if he made it, more power to him, just paint it.

As for the targa tops, I'd be first in line to replicate his...it looks sweet, just needs the hood painted.
