Cool More paint work photos, now with magical clear coat

Well, had to go down to the bodyshop to make a couple more decisions. While I was there, I had to get new pictures. I even set the spoiler on the car to see how it looked.

So, opinions? Still needs the entire car rubbed out, and the door inners are being color changed. But I personally LOVE it I cant wait to see the flames on there.

Paint job looks great, and I love that hood. Just one question: are you going to get the rear ground effect piece that goes with those tips?

It looks really good. I like everything (including the licence plate ) except the tips. What kind of roll bar do you have? Does it make the back seat useless for passengers? And when are the top down pics comming

I have the fascias, but I am actually removing the entire tailpipe setup. This car use to have the RS ground effects, I removed them. So ignore the exhaust. The bar is a Wolfe 6 point, and my 9 year old kids still get back there, they have to work for it, but they will fit. No topdown pictures till it is done, and the realistic flames are on the hood.

love the paint, love the license plate even more =). What kind of aftermarket SS spoiler is that or is it OEM? i was wondering on the fitment because i just took my ZR28 one off and I wanted it to look more factory. If need be ill just buy an OEM one.

All I know is I best be seeing that beauty around at the car shows this Spring and Summer! What a gorgeous car, I wanna see it in person! Will it be done and ready in time for Superfest 06? I'll definitely be there, hope to see your car there too!

Re: More paint work photos, now with magical clear coat

It is a factory SS spoiler I took off a wreck at work.

And it will be all over Michigan like normal when its running I personally wont be at Superfest this year, but I am adding my friend to the insurance policy and he will bring it over and show it for me. So either way the car will be there. Hopefully he can trophy with it without me I will be pulling the intake again this winter to repolish it, and everything else under the hood is polished too. So it looks great hood up or down.

Like I said, wait till the realistic flames are done on the black area of the hood. Those should be done sometime soon too. I will post pics when it is done.

Its actually a custom color red, I picked out of a color swatch. I dont know that it has ever been on a production car. Its just the color I wanted.

Re: More paint work photos, now with magical clear coat

Primer is actually a yellow, and the clear is a show quality clear. When compared to normal clear, which in the can reminds me of a full condom This clear is like water in a glass. As for the coats of clear, right now we are at 4, but there will be two more after the flames are layed on
