i believe i purchased them early in the year, february maybe? but i'm not sure, i'd have to check my invoice.

your mounting method is interesting, you definitely need some type of surround to finish it off (but that takes time, i'm sure you'll get to it). my mounting method provides a somewhat finished look but still not as clean as i'd like it to be so there may be a change in the future. ideally they would be surrounded by a molded fiberglass facing but don't think i have the tallent to do that

either way, these lights are the best solution hands down. other lights may provide good illumination but i have yet to see one that provides good side-to-side coverage, good distance, and doesn't go to hell in bad weather or really **** off other drivers with beam scatter.

If someone is wondering what the actual illumination looks like, i posted some 2 more pics taken tonight. (Look for insidecar.jpg and outsidecar.jpg)

Also, keep in mind the bulbs are only 65W, so I just put the connectors on and plugged them in. No relays or anything else is necessary.

Those should look nice with a HID setup.

Im really looking to doing the piaa conversion, I found the 1100X and 1000X on ebay, the 1000X is a little more expensive... Anyone know the diffrence.. On Piaa.com it shows they both have a 55=85 rating, same angle, blah blah blah...
