Anyone order overlays from them lately with no problems? I've been reading posts of their slow shipping and 0 customer service... I want to order a set for a 95 T/A cluster, but not if they take months ship... Anybody know of another place to order them? WS6Store doesn't have Macewen's for T/A's.

 

Stupid question... shouldn't it be the same gauges for the trans ams as the camaros?

 

Nope, camaro's have a different font style than trans am's so when you turn on the headlights, it won't line up.

I ordered mine a couple years ago and Ryan at Macewen was good to deal with - he did a custom project for me - I would not even think about getting them from anywhere else - his are the best - can't comment about recent customer service though

 

DynoPro also sells the MacEwen overlays, but I'd STRONGLY suggest dealing directly with MacEwen. You may encounter some small issues with MacEwen, but you WILL have large problems with DynoPro.

 

I dunno i have heard they are great but the customer service is horrible now it seems... Ive called and emailed and got nothing back. I have a email saying that 2 months ago that the product would be shipped in a few days but then nothing I just want my overlays and shifter overlay. I already have the others but i dont want to take everything apart till i have it all.

 

I ordered something from MacEwen about a month ago. Waited two weeks before I sent a refund request to my credit card company. He doesn't reply to e-mails, and his voice mailbox is full (never answered, even during his "business hours"). In fact, the moment before I called my CC company to request a refund, I tried to call him one last time - his number was not in service!

My best guess is that as of late, he may be too preoccupied with something else to run his site. I recommend staying away from MacEwen until he shows signs of life.

 

This is the same stuff I've been reading on other message boards... He doesn't seem to have his act together lately for some reason and he's losing business... Doesn't make since... Unfortunately I don't like the look of the ebay overlays and wanted the lens/bezel along with the overlay, which he has... I guess I'll wait... Thanks for the responses.

 

MacEwen has had these same issues for years, just do a search and you'll see that this isn't a new issue. The overlays are very nice and if going into the deal you accept that it won't arrive next week, it's worth the wait/hassle.

 

Try at least two weeks, without any sort of order confirmation other than an auto-generated e-mail message.

 

Yeah, he (Ryan) sucks... screwed me on something small and stupid, light bulbs...

It SUCKS because his gauges are GREAT! Had them in my 94 as well...

Just try to get Macewen gauges but from Thunder Racing...

 

I had the on my Camaro, nice quality,and at that time, good customer service.. but that was like 4-5 years ago
