LT1 headlight idea

LT1 headlight idea
Maybe someone has brought this up before, I'm fairly new on the board. Anyway, my dad has a '92 Chevy pickup. The headlights look to be about the right size as the two mini-quads the LT1's have. Plus in 1988 through 1990 or so, I think the trucks actually used the same size light as the Lt1s, four mini-quads. What about using one of the clear projector replacements for these older chevy trucks? The kind that is one piece like this (the second one down):

Not cheap at $373, but another idea that may look/fit like OEM.

The thing is - just about any of those could be made to fit probably...the Nissan Silva's projector's have been made to fit, and it looks pretty close to stock. These would be something along those lines as well.
The 1988 trucks used a H4703/01 housing, which is different than the LT1 cars. The only other vehicle I know of right off that uses the same lights as ours is certain years of the Oldsmobile Cutlass'/Supremes. They don't have near as many problems though, as their lights sit out in the front of the car, and aren't sunk in. If they made a projector kit for them, I don't think they would work though, because the front end is pretty heavily curved.
It could probably be done, but would most likely turn out less desirable than what you might expect.

the trucks housings are taller and less narrow i believe (already looked into it), it may still fit though, i never tried after i found out the size diff
the new style s-10 may be a better fit, but that projector is just fugly with the "nipple" and you still have the corner problem to deal with
