LS1 Painted Intake

Did not want to hijack the other thread! I also painted the front black bumper thing that looked like crap. The last is with the underhood LED's....

It almost perfectly matches the wheel color. Actually, it is a Mack Truck color. I had extra when I did the valve covers, and everyone voted I should just match....

That looks good man. I think the Camaro decal on the STB is a little too large though.

Looks good, but whats up with the holes on the side behind the t-body? Also what did you use to fill in the top (EGR) area?

Those are stock holes on the LS1 intake. I did not feel like filling them in. Too much time for a stock LS1 intake. When I do a stroker, I will do a FAST intake and spend more than the probably 6 hours I have in this....

I used DuraGlas, bondo, and spot putty, followed by filler primer, and lots of sweat!

I can't see from the pics, but did you paint the valve covers as well? Looks AWESOME by the way!

My intakes are still the stock black so I never noticed the holes on the side.

Your fill in area looks good. A little bowtie emblem would look there IMO.
