I used to see where to get these all the time...now I cannot seem to locate it.

It is a metal plate that covers that little "hole" where the EGR used to go on an LS1 intake, right behind the throttle body.

Any idea where to get one?

Thanks, but not quite what I was looking for.

It is the area that that EGR attaches to in the LS1 intake manifold on some years. On other years (or if someone removes their EGR), there is just a blank spot. It is the area on the top of the inatke manifold, right behind the throttle body.

not sure about LS1 engines, but how hard is it to make one? is there a gasket for that hole?

 

I'm guessing this is what you're talking about? Intake plate where it says 5.7L? If so I made the first set of them a couple of years ago. There was a guy on LS1Tech in the apperance section that started making them. If you do a search over there you might be able to find him. His are a little different but I don't know anyone else doing them.

I have 2 of them. One is a black one with a silver bowtie and the other is a black one with ls1 in silver. i think i have the ls1 on the car, not the bowtie.

It from a guy either on ls1.com or ls1tech.com. I'll see if I can find my records of the paypal purchase. I think I paid $20 for both plates, since I couldn't figure out which one I would like more. I'll see if I can find the black plate with the silver bowtie. I'm moving this week, so bare with me.
