It's just a convertable switch plate with the switch covered up with a sticker.

I bet you could find a switch plate at the dealer cheaper

You'll be able to find it here I would but I gotta go to work

Ok here's what I came up with by looking at the auction and referencing my handy Camaro parts CD. There is no panel for the 1LE that I could find. It appears to be the plate that was used on convertible cars. The reason for the front bumper emblem on the panel is to cover that hole where the convertible switch goes! 2 different part #'s are listed for this piece
For the 97-99 it is part # 10280510 and for the 00-02 it is part # 10411284 on GM Parts direct it comes back at $2.26 for either # but if you want the front bumper emblem to cover up the hole it is part # 10193494 and it runs 19.58 from GM Parts direct, or you should be able to order part # 10273932 which is a plug for the switches that go above the radio and I'm pretty sure it'll fit that hole too, although I'm not positive! It is listed on the cd as an option for the console panel and that plug is the one used to fill the dash on cars without traction control so it should fit. It runs $4.27. You'll also have to drill the holes in the plate for the switches.

Okay, here is the deal on this.

I ordered the plate and the plug.

The plate has part #10280510 stamped on the back of it, but the bag says #10411284

The plug has part #10415545 stamped on the back of it, but the bag says #10273932

In my case, the plug DOES NOT fit the plate. It was worth a shot.

I know at least the Trans Ams with TCS have a plate with the TCS switch in that location. Is this the same for the Camaros as well?

Re: LS1 --- 1LE switch plate???

Nope, the Chevy guys have their ASR (Anti-Slide Regulation... Chevy's name for TCS) switch above the radio.

The Ponitac guys have TCS and the convertible top switch in that plate. If you don't have one or the other there's a one-switch plate for you as well. If you have neither, you get a cell-phone holder slot there.

Just for the record, the 1990-2002 Pontiac guys with one-switch plates have a ponitiac arrow-head symbol cast into in the blank spot. Those with two-switche panels have no symbol.

I want a switch panel like that, but without the Pontiac emblem. Just have to keep looking around..
