Lowering springs

I have a 96 maro and want to lower it, but want to do it for as cheap as possible. Is cutting the stock springs a good idea, or is my only choice to buy a new set of springs?

Re: Lowering springs

I wouldnt cut the stock springs. From what Ive heard is they ride really rough if you do that.

I would buy some lowering springs. I had the 1LE suspension on my last 97 Z which lowered the car an inch and it road excellent.

Re: Lowering springs

I wouldn't cut the springs as well. Makes for a nasty ride...

Re: Lowering springs

Not to mention that your car will bounce around like a boucyball. Just drop the couple hundred dollars and get something decent.

Get you an Eibach Pro-Kit off eBay for $185 or so and be happy.
