lowering question
lowering question
I decided that i want to lower my 94z for handling purposes and looks, but the most drop that can be obtained by a spring is 2 inches, and i want atleast 3, does anyone have any ideas for me, coil-overs? who makes them though. air bag? , there are no kits for our cars? and springs alone will not do it for me
I have Ground Control adjustable coil-overs, and no BS man... this setup will let you go as low as you could possibly want to go. This kit uses Eibach springs which will settle somewhat after you install it. For a drop over 2" I highly recommend this kit.
Here is a photo the day after I had the coilovers installed.

(MOST OF MY PICS IN THE SIG ARE NOT WITH THE COILOVERS INSTALLED)

Thanks man,
The best way to raise or lower them (if you have time) would be to jack the car up (possibly on stands for safety ?) and then turn the wheel hard to the left or right. Then you have to adjust the coilovers near where the shocks are. You just unlock the tightening pin and turn to raise or lower it.
The other way you can do it if you have to. You can keep the car on the ground, and just turn real sharp so that you can reach in there and adjust them the same way. To be honest, I dont know if this would be possible with stock rims. I can do this because with my rims I can see what I am doing in there.. etc.. Also, if you do it this way, It is alot easier to lower than to raise it. For raising them up, its easier to jack the car up before adjusting them.
It is really nice to be able to fine tune your ride height, but I can't stress enough how HIGHLY I recommend getting better shocks if you go this low ! !
The stock shocks just cannot handle it.

thanks alot for the info, i have the same rims as you except they are not white, just the polished. But they wont be on til spring, in wisconsin the winters suck so i will be doing alot to my car over the winter, mostly suspension and body. I plan on body kit and hood, then the rims(which I already have) and some simple engine mods (intake, exhaust, programming) and i want to customize my interior, can you give me some info on your interior. also i want to know how you did you drl's cause they reall remind of when you can see a 5th gen vette coming at you from about a 1/2 mile away during the day, i appreciate the help, but if you dont wanna reveal the secrets of your mods just say so. but thanks alot
