The only one I found was in JC Whitley catalog, around 200.... Its plastic... Not appealing.... Comes in three pieces that are glue together .... If it was medal, then I would prob buy... I like the '70s look.....

The more I look at that picture the more I like it!!!!!

I emailed him and asked were he got them. Actually, they look a little thick, perhaps plastic. I'd rather have aluminum.

I completely understand that it is your opinion that you like those, but when I see those on any vehicle, I check the driver for a mullet. Not that mullets are bad or anything....

Found the plastic Louvers for 4th Generation at:
http://spoilers4less.com/wp-1383.html

Now, anyone know of some aluminum Louvers for 4th gen?

P.S. dudericer - I feel the same way about headlight, tail light, and running light blackouts. Just tacky.

Can someone please erase my memory after seeing that blue camaro?

Would be interesting to see the HOOD louvers on a 4th gen. Photoshop anyone. Not saying that would look better, but now i'm curious

I liked mine.

The company that makes the plastic (ABS) ones is Willpak Industries.
They make a 3 piece and a 1 piece. I had the 1 piece.

I wouldn't buy another -the one piece is upwards of $300, without shipping, and has to be shipped freight. Then I painted it to match my car at a cost of about $50. Too spendy to do it all again.

The Louvers in the JCWhitey catalog don't say what they're made of, who makes them, or anything else. They do state the price at $269:
http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/I...17287110354034

At Shop.com they call the JCWhitney Louvers "ABS SUNSHIELD CAMARO/FIREBIRD 93&UP" so they're obviously plastic. Also $269:
http://www.shop.com/op/~CUSTOM_FIT_S...91#description

At SFX Performace they are $256.95:

Lower:
How exactly did they attach? Was it in a way that would keep the plastic off the glass? Vibrating plastic will etch glass! My 82 Z28 had etched lines were the previous owner had used cheap plastic louvers. I had to add proper aluminum louvers just to hide the etching. Did you get rid of them? If so why? Thanks for any info....

as far im concerned louvers = low tech rear window tint. If you think about it they do the same thing, just look different. the louvers dont actually look that bad imo.

Rear window louvers do a lot better job than tint. They let in pretty much no light in the back of the car. I have them on my 69 Mach 1 and they are awesome.

If I knew someone that put those on their fourth gen, I would have to stop hanging out with them.
