Looking for SS hood graphic/"Manta"

Hey fellas,
I have a '96 SS that is fire engine red with t-tops.
I'm looking for a black graphics that will cover the hood scoop and exit the rear spoiler.
I was told by Jay @ www.3rdgendecals.com that they didn't make the "manta/intimidator" style for my year car.
Does anyone out there know what I'm talking about and have it done to their car?
Where did you go to buy it?
ANY help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Tim

I know what you're talking about.. and I already asked Jay and he said he would be to hard for whatever reason Cuz I want the exact same thing you do and so far the only option I've seen is painting it on
I'd love to know someone who makes this!

Yeah.. I could give Brent a shout.. wonder if he's up for a bigger design.. plus he owns a 96 SS as well which might make things a lot easier for him if he wants to try..

Thanks for the response Archie. I hadn't thought of emailing him.
Trevor, looks like were in the same boat. I know there are others out there as well. If you find any other additional info, email me. Seems like we both will be emailing Brent.

Thanks,

Tim

Hey guys, I am looking for the same thing. I already talked to Brent and he referred me to Jay and then Jay basically said that he can't do it because it is too hard...so as of now we are out of luck unless someone wants to be bold and make one to try out.....

I'll make no promises, but I'll look at it when the sun comes up tomorrow and let you guys know if this is something I want to try and design.

Well, the stripe given as an example covers the complete scoop... going all the way down to the hood. The 96 and 97 SS hoods are much wider than the newer style. My cutter isn't wide enough to make a stripe like this However, it would be wide enough to make a stripe similar to this except instead of going down the "verticle" section of the hood scoop it would stop right when it scoop started to round over and go down. So, I could do something like that BUT, I have zero time right now to make any promises as to when I would be able to do it.

I'll keep this in mind that it is something people want but I just can't take an entire day (or maybe more???) and design that right now with all the other projects I've got going on.

Would a pinstripe gap, like on the 30th stripes, look alright? Esentially making the graphic a 3 piece design. Or would that just look like crap?

Hmm... that's not a bad idea. I'll definitely consider this! Doing something like this would allow me to make the decal larger and at the same time would greatly ease installation.

Brent,
I completely understand that you are a very busy man. I/We appreciate the fact that you are willing to help us. Hopefully, with your expertise and the input from other resourceful individuals, you will be able to develope a "kick@$$" concept and make it into production that will give all of us '93-97 fbody bretheren exactly what we are looking for.

Tim
