Looking for Hood Struts for new fiberglass hood

Just put a new trufiber fiberglass hood on my 96 camaro and now my stock hood struts are too strong. Who makes a weaker hood strut more suited to a fiberglass hood? I DO NOT want to go with a prop rod.... anyone else been down this road?

I used the stock ones on when I installed my Harwood hood. That must be a really lightweight hood.

VFN sells them and I'm sure there are others.

I bought a fiberglass hood from VFN and used the stock struts. Are you sure you need to change them?

ecklers camaro has them. made weaker for fiberglass hoods. i haven't used them but need some for my 85 Z. my UltraZ from SLP, no fake ones my original hood shocks work fine. SLP makes durable hoods, plus they did make the SS hood...
