looking to give my car a new look!

I own a 99 Z28, Im tired of the look, I cant stand Salad slingers any more! Im really thinking about putting the SS scoop on for looks and the spoiler. Whats the best route to take on the Scoop? buy a whole hood or just buy the scoop and Fiberglass it in? My car is red so for the wheels I was thinking the 16" Toque thrust 3. or the black Vette rims with the chrome beedlocks. Sound good or any other ideas??

Your '99 shouldnt have salad shooters on it, buy a SS hood and spoiler, there are many after market companies that make good quality ones now. You could buy some vinyl from Brent, its cheap and looks good and can make a huge difference. Try posting in the appearance section, there are alot of ideas floating around in there.

If I were to do aftermarket rims, I would step up to 17" rims or maybe a little larger. As for the hood, I'm not sure of the cost or fabrication involved in just installing a scoop. An advantage of just going with an entire hood would be some weight savings as it is fiberglass and it would just be a matter of painting and bolting it on.

Yea , The previous owner had some Ghetto Rims on it a decided to cut me brake by like 1300.00 if Id let him keep the Ghetto rims and put his extra set of slingers on there instead, at the time it helped me out money wise but ive saved up enough to update. Were is a good place to buy that hood???

The only reason im leaning to the 16 tt3 is cause i just put brand new tires on the front stockers and M/Ts on the back.

Forget the SS clone idea and embrace the Z28 heritage. So I agree, with the Ultra Z hood or possibly a Sonoco replica cowl hood.
Top it off with some vintage looking Z/28 emblems...

The ultra-Z hood is an awesome looking piece. When I redo my blue car, I'm going with that hood and an SS spoiler. Throw some Rebels on that Z-28, they look awesome.

I put an SS hood on that I got on ebay for $390.My 17" Z06 black riveted wheels were $492 shipped! and they were bran new from Tomz Wheels. I have added a bunch more stuff. Take a look at the sig...maybe you'll get some ideas

17" or 18" are the way to go. But I would not go with 16" just cuz your tires are new. You are going to regret it later. They are going to wear out anyway and you are going to have to buy new tires in the future anyhow. Just sell them. What is your price range on wheels?
