Cool Lets see your switch panels

I will have a few switches for various things in my Camaro shortly. So, I would like to make a custom switch panel or something to mount them all in one spot nice and neat.

I would like to see what some of you have done to get an idea of where to put it and such.

Thanks!!

Here's my ashtray switch. I had it hooked up to the exterior and interior neons. With the new car, I'll probably get 2 switches in the same area to have separate controls. Not the best pic, but you get the idea- it's a single green rocker switch.

Go Here

Go to the second page ('95 TA) and it's towards the bottom of the page. We used the "Transmission Perform" button housing and made a custom plate to fit the switches in, I like it a lot!! The car belongs to FUNINA91SS now, actually he's the one who made the panel! I like how everything is easily accessable from the drives seat

Joe.

There is one on the Z28 page in my sig. It's for my n2o system. I'll be adding a momentary purge and momentary rocker switch for the remote bottle opener, shortly.

The guy who made it for me is open to making more. If you're interested, email me.

Since I am going to a 98+ console eventually that would be useless to me

I have mounted my switches 3 different ways.

1. I took the sunglass holder out and found a project box at Radio Shack which fits with very little grinding of the box itself.

2. Overhead console - Again, used a Radio Shack box which I attached to the headliner with velcro.

3. I drilled out the .25 .10 .05 coin holders and mounted the switches in there. No one could tell I had anything unless I opened the hood.

If interested, the pics can be found at:

i took out the 'cell phone' holder in front of the shifter , used the piece as a template and made a nice switch plate out of wood
(try to stay away from a metal plate, i learned the hard way )

No one has any switch panels that are in place of the cassette holder on 93-96 cars? I will be going to a 98+ center console so I wanted to make a switch panel that will fit in that empty space. Has anyone done this?
