I have yet seen the aftermaket LEDs around here, but some trucks have them, and quite true... Night time OK, daytime look out.....

Yeah you can't just swap out your old bulbs and use an LED replacement lamp. There needs to be an LED panel, since LED light is so focused.

replacement bulbs worked great in my firebird, mine are different though because of my formula taillights.

I took out the colored lenses and painted the housing black

I saw a Camaro with aftermarket tail lamps that were LEDs. They looked freakin' cool at night, but in the daytime... well... they weren't bad, but didn't look nearly as good as the stock tail lamps. I don't like the placement of the reverse lights.

It was really cool that I saw the same car the night before, and then the next morning.

Yeah, I'm definitely not diggin the sea of red on those taillights. I like the stock lights a lot better.

I saw that picture on the internet with those led tail lights. I have four whelen 90w police strobes in my tail lights...I wouldn't be able to drill into the led housing. But i'm sure they look cool at nite.

To resurrect this thread, has anyone gotten a set of these with the black housing and installed them on a black car?
