Not to sound like a ricer or something but Im really into interior stuff and speed(could give **** less of exterior). well I ordered some hyper red led lights from varad and cant wait to put them in. just got a toggle switch and wire . I was planning on putting them inside the vents. what do you think? just going for something different, no more lighting neon bs just this.

Yea I did, personally I think it looks cool and if you get tired of them you can just shut them off. Can't really beat the "coolness" for the price....like 20 bucks from start to finish...lol Sorry the pics are blurry but I don't have a tripod for my digital camera. I took some pics of how I installed them i'll post them later, I have class now. Any questions feel free to PM me or email me.

For those looking to buy LED's, check out
www.superbrightleds.com
They have the best price that I have found sofar. I just converted 93-96 style taillights to three led's each and STS. I've got twelve led bulbs in the car now.

Ok here of some pictures of how I installed the lights in the vents. I just took the vents out of the car, drilled a small hole, ran the wires through and glued the LED in the vent.

My stock tail lamps never worked right, I always thought it would look cool to convert them to LEDs

I wanted to start it all today but Ive gotta have my trans looked at tommorrow so it looks like Ive gotta wait till next week. I have 8 of them and I was going to put 6 in the 6 vents and 1 in the map holder of each door. hopefully it works out good. Next step is to get ahold of some diamond plate. anyone know where I can get some?

Hey,

I just thought up this mod myself as well, and am going to start it soon. I'm going to buy from superbrightleds.com I think. They have 8000 and 3500 MCD intensity LEDs. Which do you guys recommend? I'm looking for more of a soft glow than bright red lights, so I'm thinking the 3500.

Where you guys mount your toggle switches? I'm thinking about getting the plugin from the factory that goes in the storage compartment to the left of the cigarette lighter (starter switch too, which I'll hook up later).

How hard would it be to replace the maplights with these? I don't see a good way to run the wires and such (or use the existing wires). And also, what about the litthe lights that shine on the lock/window buttons on the doors?

The other locations I'm probably going to do is underneath the console aiming at the pedals, and at the passenger's feet, and then possiible one or two under each seat, to give them a glowing effect. I'll take it one at a time and see what's overdoing it and what's not.

How exactly do these hook up? Wiring wise? Does the stuff from superbrightleds.com come with wires attached? Or just have small positive and negative terminals, or what? Did you guys just tap into one of the power wires for something else or what? Any wiring ideas would be greatly appreciated...

Thanks,
Kevin
