LED Brake-Lights...complete with pics & vid

Well I finally finished everything up. I replace all of the exterior lamps with LEDs except for the fog lamps and headlamps (HID). I had the front corner lights finished a little while ago but went ahead and did the tail lamps including the brake lights, 3rd brake light lamps, rear corner lamps and license plate lamps.

The interior is also totally outfitted with LEDs except for the original factory guages. Map lights, door lights, back seat, ash tray and autometer guages all have LEDs as well. Below are pics and also a quick vid I threw together to show how well these LEDs work in the tail lamps. The only one I'm not thrilled with is the license plate light but I can fix that another day. Enjoy.

And for a little comparison, here are the original lamps at night.

I'm loving the quick on/off operation.

I love your ride, looks like you take nice care of it. Where did you get the LEDs? Are they the ones that come in a cluster and plug right into the factory plugs? I wonder how LEDs will look in the 93-97 TA taillights.

I try almost painstakingly to keep it nice. The LEDs are purchased from a non-sponsor so PM me if you would like the url. All they do is plug in and replace the existing lamps. The only trick is picking the right configuration for what your trying to illuminate.

Have you checked out superbrightleds.com

http://superbrightleds.com/led_prods.htm

more specifically, their new 3 Watt Luxeon LED 15mm Bayonet Based LED Bulbs

I also read that you should get LEDs that are the same color as your lenses. So red in our case.

I have led taillights in my LT1 Formula too. I took out the red lenses so they are silver in the daytime with just the red lights. They look fantastic at night I will try to remember to post pictures later tonight

I took a look at them and their designs didn't do anything for me. The place I get mine has a really wide selection of LED arrangements to suit whichever housing it will be going into.
