leather on interioir plastic peaces....

I purchased some door panels and was thinking about covering all interior pieces with leather... My question is what glue will work well to make it stick to the interior pieces?

It looks good when done right. There's a sponsor on another board that sells a kit do do the whole job. I'm thinking of getting one to do my car.

He has an instruction set that you can buy for $30 I think. If you can get the materials cheap but still need directions, that might be the right route for you.

Contact an upholstery shop and just ask them. That's the best advice. Either that, or PM Camaro Casanova and ask him.

There is a spray on apolstry adhesive. I used it way back in high school with a car I was building. The stuff is very sticky and worked well on stuff like that.

I'm redoing my whole interior in synthetic suede and I'm using 3M super 90spray adhesive with good results, just make sure you coat both sides evenly. Practice on something else first though, so you get the hang of how the material stretches, drapes, and folds over.

I just found out what my next project is going to be. That looks easy enough to do and I bet you can find that material for dirt cheap.

They aren't a sponsor here so a link can't be posted, but I'm sure you can Google them.

Specialized Stainless.

+2 but I've yet to find a vinyl that matches the dash perfectly. I don't want to re-wrap all of the parts, just the dash pad.

I also can't decide if I want to wrap the new dash pad I bought, or fix and wrap the one thats in the car right now.

Decisions, decisions.

Nice kit, and it seems like a good price. I might have to look into that.
