Interior swap.....what is needed?
Ok, I have a 1993 Camaro Z28 and I LOVE my car! I used to own a 97 Camaro V6 and I liked the interior more in that car. I liked the dash layout and the instrument panel and the center console and the seats......EVERYTHING! I want to put the interior from a 97-99 Camaro into my 93. Dash, seats, instrument panel and all. I know I can just swap my seats and dash and all that, but what do I do about the instrument panel? Are their wiring kits available? Do I have to have my computer reprogrammed to make the guages work? Can www.pcmforless.com do that programming? How do I make my gas guage more reliable? Can I just swap in a new sensor and call it a day? Thanks in advance,
I think your also going to need that wiring harness thats connected to the back of instrument panel. Also, if i were you...I'd get the 93 service manual and a 97 service manual so you know what all the wires are in the back of that puppy! The 97s were digital right? Meaning the miles, tripometer, right?
His sn is 96-speed, and here's his page http://camaroz28.cardomain.com/memberpage/345879/ . Check page 3. Hope that helps.
