Exclamation HELP: Interior Combinations: opinions

Ok.
I'm for sure going to put green 194 bulbs in the speedo for reverse indiglo and green neons under the seat like i had before.

Now, as far as the interior trim and whatnot, here are my options:
1.a) Paint the stock trim Silver
b) Leave the stock trim pieces black
2.a) Install the white HVAC/headlight overlays
b) Leave the gauges stock
3.a) Install the white CAMARO letters i got for the old car in the steering wheel (would match the overlays)
b) Email Brent and trade in my white letters for silver letters (match the painted silver interior)
c) Leave the Camaro on the steering wheel stock

Basically, the car is black w/ tinted windows.
So, one might suggest to leave the trim black for the sleek look. If i did this, then should I put the white letters/ HVAC overlays on? or would that be too much contrast?
Or, Do I paint the trim silver and leave off the gauges cuz the white and silver don't work with the black.
Or do I do it all- paint, overlays, white vinyl stickers etc?

What setup do yall think is best???
-Jay

Re: Interior Combinations: opinions

I wouldn't do silver...It wouldn't look good in a black car, and it's been way over done...

(And that has nothing to do with the silver I am doing either...)

Seriously though...

It all comes down to your personal taste.

I think the white gauges with everything else would look great.

White gauges, by themselves would look great too.

I am going to do silver gauges with mine just to complete my silver theme.

Hope this helps!

HELP- I NEED MORE OPINIONS.
Ern- the only reason I may not do silver trim is because it's just a pain to paint all that meef. The gauges and stickers are easy tho so i think they're a for sure thing.
More input por favor,
J

congradulations on the new car. i liked ur old green one. i saw it on rksport forums a while back. i think silver looks real nice but it is over done sometimes. i dont know what i should do to my interior. i got tan :-(. im thinkin about just puttin graphite in it and giving the leather to my mom. i hate tan.

if u paint everything silver are u gonna get silver guages? i dont know if they sell hvac/headlights for those yet but they might.
good luck

No- see, I HAVE already some white HVAC & Headlight gauges that say Z28 and LT1 on them- they're sweet. And I also already have some white Camaro inserts for the steering wheel. So i doubt I'd even bother trying to find or make silver HVAC/headlight overlays. Silver looks good w/ silver cars, but I dunno how meef it looks on black cars so i'm a bit reluctant to paint the inside... I dunno???

Edit: yeah what ever happened to RKsport. That was a good board- more "homey" if you will. I still talk to Gabe and Chad on occasion, but not silverdragon or dave (the all-knowing dave) or any of those folks anymore. Stinks

nino is still on this board somewhere under a different name too. white can look good on dark interior but some people dont like it. if u plan on getting seats or anything white seats would be nice with white guages and paintin the interior white. i love pu12en12g's car. thats my dream color combo. but somepeople think its too flashy.
