Interesting Purple first-gen Firebird (I think?)

I'm no expert on '60s muscle cars, but as far as I can tell, this is a '69 Firebird on some ridiculous wheels. I love the paint color and the custom fabric top, but those wheels are insane...

Looks like an Olds to me, not a firebird. I can't stand the paint job, I would never have a corporate logo on my car even if they wanted to pay for the paint job. The wheels are called hangtymes, I'm not sure of the brand but you can google it and find them.

Why do hommies do that, all of a sudden? I've seen a Pepsi Crown Victoria running around, and numerous pictures of paint jobs with corporate logos.

I hope there was some advertising incentives with Puma in order to do that.

You know that tv show where the guy with the handlebar moustache says "Don't crush 'em, restore 'em"? Maybe he's not always right.

Worst fad ever...

High risers are the worst thing to happen to the automobile... ever. If this lasts, and becomes more than a fad, well I won't know what to believe in.

Personally, it looks like a Hot Wheels car to me. I could see that hanging on the pegs at Target.... I'd probably buy it too
