Insurance paying for paint, want opinions

Ok, after 3 years in the desert (military related) the insurance company is going to be paying for my new paint job. So I've decided to do a complete appearance overhaul.

First, I will be going with black 17" Motorsport C5 Z06 rims all around (the ones with the polished lip and rivets). I'm going with the whole two-tone scheme on my car, and I like them .

Second, hood. I've decided on two hoods. The SS hood, and the Harwood 2.5" cowl. I know most of you will say SS (I like it too) but I want to hear from the guys with Harwood hoods too.

Third, spoiler. If I do go with the SS hood, I'll also get the SS spoiler (LT1 version). Anyone know the best place to get the hood and spoiler? Or if any brands are better than others? I don't care about weight, but they must be bolt-on.

Fourth, color. This is the big one. I have settled on a few colors, so now I want some opinions, and pics are welcome if you got em. Right now my car is Mystic Teal Metallic (I think that's the color name) and black (black roof, mirrors, etc.). I want to keep the two-tone scheme.

For the main color, I've decided between these:
1. Keep the current color
2. Quasar Blue
3. Navy Blue Metallic
4. Midnight Blue
5. Black (leaning away from this one, but still an option).

If I get another color, I plan to paint the engine bay later, so no worries. Stripes are an idea, but I'm not concerned with it right now. I'm looking for any and all opinions right now. Thanks in advance!

If the color really is mystic teal metallic, I'd definitely keep that. Its a rare color, and it looks really good to boot.

If your car is the LT1 in the sig, I'd go for the cowl hood. My '94 had an SS hood on it, and it doesn't really look as good as the LS1 cowls, IMO. I think LT1s look better with cowls.

slponline.com (SLP) has the LT1 SS spoilers for cheap now, because they're discontinued. I'd hurry, though.

I'd make it look EXACTLY like this. This is the best looking camaro on the planet as far as I'm concerned.

I do love that color, but not too fond of the hood.

Mine is this color (not my car, but same color):

Holy crap those are marked down!

Only thing is it claims it must be shipped to a body shop or business??

I think I can get it shipped to my shop.

EDIT: Cost $129 to ship....

The RK Sport spoiler may cost about $275, but at least they don't charge $130 for UPS Ground

The couple times I've ordered from SLP turned out to be real nightmares. Not to mention there bogus shipping/handling charges. That just goes to show it.

My vote is for '99-'00 Corvette Nassau Blue. I've been waiting almost 10 years to see an LT1 Camaro painted that color, and still haven't seen one!

Wow, now that's a blue! A little too bright for my taste, but wow!

Electron blue on corvettes is a badass color too Mines Medium Quasar blue, so I am way partial to that color. But if I ever end up painting mine, it will be one of the Corvette Blues

I say for the hood go with the SS hood or the Ultra Z hood. The Ultra Z hood is the best looking IMO...stay away from cowl hoods...

Well I've been thinking about it, and I'm pretty sure I want to turn my car into an SS clone (badges, hood, and spoiler). For colors I think it's now between stock, medium quasar blue, and electron blue metallic.

By the way, anyone know of any other place to get a decent steel SS hood? I noticed SLP no longer sells them, and ebay and the wanted forums are a crapshoot. I thought of aftermarket, but I'm not too sure about the fitting or durability.
