Installing Red LED's in interior, ran into some trouble...

I got my Speedo lit up aswell as my shifter and door panels but how do you get the Head Light Controler, A/C and Heater, and the Buttons like "SGS" and "Fog Lights" to illuminate red? I couldn't find the bulbs, just a plastic thing... Fiberoptics?

On the headlight controller you have to remove that clear plastic lense on the back. I don't believe they make an LED that small, i just soldered in my own #74 red LED bulb. I believe your 97 heater controls are the same as my TA ones there should just be two sockets at the top of the control panel. They require #74 bulbs too. I have no idea how the buttons light up. If you want red ones maybe something out of a TA will work.

If you have regular leds not ledbulbs just drill a hole in the plastic to make enough room for the led and super glue the led in the plastic. Well that's what I did anyway.

They plug in just like regular bulbs, but lemme tell you they are not that bright. I have some in my Hvac and Shifter plate and they are quite dim which is why I bought leds with resistors off ebay. I did my headlight **** backlighting and need to do the speedo, hvac, and shifter plate still. I still have about 87 leds left too

What kind of LED's did you use? and How can I do the one behind the Headlight ****? I found the bulb but I see no way to install an LED and I don't know which wire to connect too...

I think they are pretty bright. I'm running a #74 bulb in the headlight ****. I just drilled out the center until the bulb fit. Then undid the little wires on the LED light and brought them down and soldered them to the metal contacts. The electrical taped it in.

like I said before

By drilling into the plastic I mean the clear plastic light diffuser

I got my leds from this ebay seller

http://stores.ebay.com/Chi-Wing-LED-product-shop

Be sure to get the ones that come with resistors I got 100 leds and resistors for 22-24 bucks shipped. 5mm leds by the way.
