You will probably need an adapter with any aftermarket wheel

Also disconnect the battery and let the car sit for a while to discharge the airbag

Do a search, its been covered before. Its been so long since I did mine I don't remember half of the details.

The guys on LS1tech have a topic about corvette steering wheels and how nobody has ever gotten it to work or fit or something. It's ALMOST a funny topic.

i just replaced mne this afternoon. you will need to pull the airbag fuse which is in the dash fusebox at bottom left. the airbag is held on with torx bolts that are accessed from rear of steering wheel. remove airbag and disconnect yellow connector. set aside. next loosen the steering wheel retaining nut (21mm) and remove nut. install steering wheel puller. remove steering wheel. set new steering wheel in place-there is a double spline so it only goes on one way. reinstall steering wheel nut. make sure to get the horn contact back in the hole before installing the airbag again. then reinstall fuse and you should be good.
hope that helps
