instal fog lights on camaro with no fogs

i'm gonna be getting some stock fog lights (with the housing brackets) very soon, as i love the look and my camaro has no fog lights...

what do i have to do to install them, physically, and also, if i want to wire them up, what do i have to do (i don't care about a switch, if they are wired to the headlights, coming on when the headlights are on, that would be fine)

thanks for your help
ian

I'd get a Haynes manual if I were you. That would probably show you everything you would have to do.

Physically all you have to do is drop the underside of the front bumper cover (See Brent's guide here) and then bolt the two mounting brackets on with the two bolts.

You should have the wiring already in actually - I think all cars came with the option for fog lights - just some didn't have them. If that's the case, you will see a black and a purple wire somewhere underneath there. If you want this to come on with your headlights, just splice them into your headlight wiring. If you don't do that, you will have to use a switch. Nothing much to it really - a test light or something will help you though.

The wires will not be there. My 93 V6 did not com with them and I wanted them. The power wire is there for the relay, but the circuit is incomplete. If you remove the dash and get the headlight switch out, tucked away and wrapped up is the connector for the fog light switch. That one is in there. Plus the holes are not drilled in the bumper support. It really isn't too difficult though. Good luck! And get a haynes manual for the wiring section.

my car came pre wired (perhaps the previous owner took them off) so all i had to do is to get new light controll with the fog light button, hook it up instead of the existing one. (around $10-$15 on e-bay or in here). Get the fog lights and a housings, remouve the small grills where the fogs shold be, put in the housings with 2 bolts (as previously mentioned) and set up/ aim foglights. Shuld take about 2 hours if you never done it before.
