I'll be ordering Rims/Tires soon...
I will be ordering the following wheels from Discount Tire Direct as soon as this question is answered:
Replica Wheel
VISION ZR1 104-7961S56
17X9.5 5-120.6HC 56S
.
I would like to know what tire size to order and have mounted up:
245/45-17
275/40-17
Car is a 1996 Base Model Camaro, V6 5 speed. I want it to look good and not rub. Just bolt em on and GO!
Please give me your opinion and then "why" you gave it

Out of these two tires, which one would you go with?

First of all, get 275/40R17s all the way around because they are MEATY looking, and handle nicely.
Second, I've heard of Hankook, but not Visa. However, Visa has a Z speed rating, while the Hankooks have an H rating, good to only 130 MPH. While you won't be seeing that in a V6, a Z rated tire has a stiffer sidewall, which should give you better handling. Better treadwear rating as well.
If you care about the looks at all, I say the Hankooks treads look cooler than the Visas.
But I would buy the Visas.
