Talking I want to blackout EVERYTHING!

anyone ever see this done? I want front signal black, rear markers black, tailights black, and maybe even get my stock wheels black(with a chrome lip of cource). Anyone have input on how to get this done? A guy in my car club has the signals and markers black, but he just put that tint **** you can get from auto parts stores.

Cool

I have it all blacked out exept for the rims
15% all around - just enough to be legal.
GTS - fronts, rear and corners. I don't have a foglights - otherwise they would off been too. Now for the side markers and the 3rd brake light I used spray called tint in the can which you can get in the PepBoys for about $5. 1 pop will be more then enought to cover all the lights. I also have a Z28 decal on top of the 3rd b.l. which gives it just a little more spice
Love the way it looks - unfortunatlu no pics

Alex

Yes - and not quite. Just dependant on how black you want them though and how much light you want shining through.

It will not do too great for your fog lights - it doesn't let enough light through for that - but for your turn signals, sidemarkers, and tail lights - you should be ok.

I have my turn signals "BLACKED" out with that stuff, and it seems like just enough light comes through for safety...but the lighter you are willing to go really, the better.

I have everything blacked out, from the windows to all off the lights/lenses/turnsignals......
I got some avs blackouts, poilished off the bird emblem on the center piece between the lights, so its all solid black... and used VHT NightShades on my front turn signals, rear side markers, and 3rd brake light... I think it look great.... its nice and clean during the day, completely blacked out, and the light is pretty visible at night..... and this spray only cost me about $15..... just take your time, it runs easy, and i wouldnt do anything real big, like taillights with it, 1) its real easy to mess up, and 2) you cant get it off without sanding.....
Only prob with spraying annot getting as many blackouts as u can is, atleast in MI, its illegal to have any lights blacked out, so if i ever got pulled over, "knock on wood", i'd have to get all new lenses all around
sorry dont have any pics

Yes you can ACETONE gets it off. I did my taillights with it and when I messed up I used some of that stuff and it got it right off

I had 4-5 coats at the time though

yes i realized when i did it the consequences, so i am not complaining about it... and about the acetone, when i messed up spraying one of my front turn signals, i tried to use acetone on it, but it ended up deforming the original plastic on the lense, started to eat it or sumthin, made it look like some scaled puzzle....

Re: I want to blackout EVERYTHING!

I've had AVS and GTS rear taillight covers. AVS appeared to be more of a smoked color while GTS looked more BLACK. Also, believe it or not, GTS lets more light through than does the AVS. I ended up taking the AVS covers back.

I do believe that taillight covers are illegal everywhere. Could be wrong but I think they are for "show purposes only". Having said that, I've never had the cops bother me with my GTS covers. The cops around here are pretty reasonable and the GTS covers let out a good amount of light so it isn't too hard to see the brake lights so that's why, I believe, they don't give me a problem about them
