Talking I NOW HAVE T-TOPS.....YES!!!!!

Finally this saturday morning I woke up and started my t-top conversion. I chopped off the roof!!!!!! Actually it was not as hard as it sounds. It took me about 8 hours . I havent painted the top around the weatherstripping but everything else is done.
I just want to thank the geekracing and the other website for the pictures and also RED BLUR who e-mailed me a coupleof times from this board. thanks. And if anyone around the Chicago area needs help and pointers on how to do this just E-MAIL me. I might even consider doing this for someone.

Great, now you can listen to all the rattles associated with them. I would kill to have a hard top. Sigh... Later.

Congrats!! I've had T-Tops on all 4 of my Camaros and I've loved every second of it! You don't have to worry too much about creeks and rattles, they aren't THAT bad, plus some subframe connectors will help that out a lot. Congrats again and lets see some pics!

I am done with mine exept for a few final details. LOVE IT, also got my headliner for $99 at chevy, kick ***. Thinking about getting the roof section so I don't have to have fiberglass work at back of tops.
NOTE: anyone doing this conversion MUST cut from 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch IN FRONT of the crease in roof then cut back after seeing how far back the tops go.

No problem!! It was worth it wasn't it? Now you need to get some pics up (you DID take pics, right?) and show us your handywork. Enjoy them!!! I took mine off today right before it rained and drove three hours on my break. Just a quick spin to Oklahoma border and back in time for the evening shift!

Have you had any leaks? I FINALLY saw one drop run down the inside of my window, but I can fix it. It's SO awesome to sit in the car while its raining and just watch the water bead up on top.

Later

Jeremy

I wish there was someone around here that could do that to my trans am. Congratulations on the new t-tops. It's too bad you live in chicago. I'd consider a t-top conversion if you lived close and were willing to do it.
