as far as the neons, the exhaust bearing might be leaking onto your rotory Splints making the Neon ballast tube get insuficant amounts of Amperage. Its a common problem on 93-97 Fbodys, not so much the LS1 cars though. and actually purple neon causes this more then say a green tube would. Due to the different density in gases. As far as the Neon Grounding out onto the HRE's, you should be ok, they are only 9 inch wide. usually when you go 9.5 and 10 wide is when you have the problem with grounding out. Just be carefull of your rocker panel hinges. they will get weak with the added heat that the HREs produce at low speed, and even stoped at a light. Now as far as weight reduction, it seems as if your car is basically gutted, but one thing i did to my car that gave me a huge SOTP feal was you know the Shocks that hold the trunk lid up? Take one of those off.. you only need one! The weight you save by taking one off is incredable. Basically anything i have 2 of, i now have 1 of. 1 bolt holding my licens plate on. and it took all the ***** off the Heat controls. Those will be worth about 2 tenths (sorry i dont auto cross, i put everything into terms of 1/4 mile) If you dont change the air in your rims you create the risk of premature dry rotting from the inside.. its good habbit to change the air every month or 1000 miles, just for safety measures. Old air dosent have the resistance the new fresh air would have. and under a hard turn will tend to give easier then some fresh air would. a trick i use is, on the intake of my air compressor i have and anti bacterial air freshner, so all the air that comes in runs through that. That will keep the air good for about 1500 miles.. It just saves some hastle and give you a little extra time to change it out. Good luck with the neons and the wheels and all that... hope you can loose some weight with my diet plan!

later!
Mike
