Does anybody know what 'number' does this color have? I mean if I would like to buy this paint in local shop what do I have to provide? Maybe some RAL rating?

 

There are SEVERAL different shades of hugger orange.
Some more red than others, some lighter than others. I learned this about 6 years ago when I was looking for shades of orange for a project.

Best bet is to find out which shade you like best, then get the info for it. See if your paint store has a color chart. There was one around here that had a color book that went back quite a ways, and it had several shades in it. They can then give you that specific color.

 

I ran into the same issues when looking for hugger orange vinyl. The stuff doesn't seem to exist! LOL! I was told it was a "special vinyl" made specifically for GM. Not sure how accurate that is. However, sending samples back and forth with a guy who had a 30th ann SS, I was able to get an over the counter color which is extremely close. Close enough that you can't tell a difference if you put it on a white car but not close enough that you can replace the left stripe but leave the right stripe as the factory vinyl

 

I was thinking about hugger orange also, but now I'm thinking about competition orange. Seems to be easier to find the right color. I'd be pissed is I painted my car and it came out flintstone push-up orange.
